As a Gold event sponsor, CMG is thrilled to report that the past two weekends recorded two record breaking Push for Entrepreneurship fundraiser events at Fairfield University and in mid-town Manhattan. Funds raised are used to provide Connecticut Invention Convention’s curriculum free to all eligible venues located primarily in Bridgeport, Hartford, New Haven and Norwalk.

PFE’s founder and CMG Managing Partner, Michael Carter, commented, “Since we started PFE nine years ago we have raised $420,000 for innovation and entrepreneurship education for underserved kids. Funds raised at PFE has changed the trajectory of many kids already and many more who are now being exposed to the wonder of innovation and entrepreneurship.”

Highlights for PFE 2023  include:

  • Record breaking $71,000 raised
  • Record breaking over 100 participants
  • Added sports to this push up event included:  Stationary cycling, yoga, rowing (ERG) and karate – led by trainer
  • Record breaking individual performance - 3,000 push ups (in 2 hours)
  • Record breaking individual performance - 20,000 rowing meters (in 2 hours)
  • Our first DJ: clearly enhanced the energy in the room
  • Keynote speaker, Chris Kuselias, CEO, a company founder and now investor and angel investor delivered an unforgettable speech

Carter continued, “PFE celebrates and promotes entrepreneurship where there are minimal boundaries to one’s success other than discipline and very hard work.  Going through the CIC curriculum, kids invent a product meeting a personal need. CIC builds an entrepreneurial and innovative mindset by teaching students ‘how to fish” which will ‘feed them for a lifetime’.
