Gary Mathias brings 25 years of experience as an entrepreneur, investment banker, and private equity investor. He currently serves as chief executive officer of Thetis Pharmaceuticals, a biopharmaceutical company that he co-founded along with former Pfizer R&D executives and a long-standing Carter Morse client. He previously was senior vice president of Healthcare Investments at GE Equity and executive vice president of Premier Healthcare, a healthcare private equity firm based in Atlanta.
Gary currently serves on the board of the New Haven Chapter of the Connecticut Venture Group, and previously served as a member of the Strategy Steering Committee of Western Connecticut Health Network and as a board director of Diabetes Support Systems and Dome Imaging Systems.
Gary was a coach and board member for Ridgefield Youth Lacrosse and is actively involved as a sports photographer. Gary earned a BA in economics from Harvard College, an MBA from Yale University, and a Fulbright Fellowship for post-graduate studies in economics.
