FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Carter
Morse & Mathias Is Charter Member of International M&A Network
SOUTHPORT, Connecticut,
June 2, 2010-- Carter Morse & Mathias ("CMM") announced
the formation of the Alliance of International Corporate Advisors (AICA), a
global network of merger and acquisition (M&A) investment banking firms.
CMM Managing Directors Michael Carter and Gary Mathias
attended the recent AICA inaugural meeting in Miami Beach, Florida, which
brought together investment banking firms from six continents. The meeting
culminated a year-long global effort to establish a premier international
alliance with an optimal mix of geographic coverage and industry specialists
among middle-market M&A advisory firms.
Joining AICA network as a charter member is another step in
Carter Morse & Mathias’s recent growth. In the last twelve months the firm has
added another seasoned banker (even as other boutique investment banks closed or
shrank) and formed a Board of Advisors to provide experienced industry insights
along with additional origination resources. The objective of AICA is to provide
origination and joint execution capability to its members around the globe. AICA
has been established with 29 member firms in 20 countries focusing on
middle-market M&A, corporate advisory and capital raising transactions across
multiple industry specialties.
Michael Carter, Managing Director said, “AICA significantly
extends our firm’s reach into major business markets worldwide. Through AICA, we
can now easily call on over 100 senior investment bankers in Europe, Asia, Latin
America, Australia and the Middle East to assist in our transaction mandates,
which allow us to facilitate assignments worldwide while assuring our clients
that the entire global market is covered.”
Gary Mathias, Managing Director said, “Joining AICA is an
extraordinary accomplishment for CMM. We are most impressed with capabilities of
our new partners from around the world. AICA will enable CMM to do three things
better: access international strategic buyers, advise clients seeking to acquire
companies outside of the U.S., and obtain market information anywhere in the
world.”
"We are pleased to welcome Carter Morse & Mathias as a charter
member of the AICA family," said Rachel Sargent, AICA’s president. “We are
pleased to associate with CMM which brings its experience, track record of
closing strategic transactions and stellar reputation to our partners around the
world. All of the founding members of this group have been closely screened and
are the pre-eminent mid-market investment banks in their respective markets.
This is truly an organization of entrepreneurs who have founded and built their
own firms and understand the entrepreneurial experience firsthand.”
