Employee Engagement Programs

CMG has created a Matching Gift Program that matches employees’ charitable donations to eligible nonprofit organizations of their choice. Further CMG employees continue to become directly involved in hands-on community projects such as Habitat for Humanity and Push for Entrepreneurship (www.pushforentrepreneurship.com). In 2014 Michael Carter founded Push for Entrepreneurship, an annual event that challenges participants to do as many pushups as they can for 2 hours. There is no similar event in the world. 100% of funds raised have been donated to the Connecticut Invention Convention, a 501c(3) supporting more than 6,000 young inventors in Connecticut. PFE is in its 8th year and during that time, it has raised $240,000, which was used to introducing and implementing CIC into the Norwalk, Bridgeport and New Haven school districts. CMG’s employees, their friends and families have participated every year and in 2021, twenty five CMG family pushers raised over $20,000. PFE is CMG’s signature employee community engagement event.

Hear From Our Employees

“Working at CMG has allowed me the opportunity to be very involved in all aspects of the transaction and interact directly with the executive teams of these family and founder-led businesses. Coming from a family business, it is an honor to work with unique clients and assist them with their once in a lifetime transactions. No two days are the same at CMG and that is what makes every day exciting!”

Nick Sciortino

Associate

CMG has a special place in my heart both professionally and personally.  Since joining the family Day 1, I have been given the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and learn from charismatic, intelligent individuals who are serious and dedicated to their craft, but can still “play hard” as a team, when the work is complete!

Additionally, of all the many things that I appreciate about CMG, I believe the culture we’ve built is what separates us.  It’s a culture that celebrates personal development, collaboration and diversity of thought.

Emmett Iheagwara

Associate

I am grateful to be part of an organization that focuses exclusively on M&A for founder-led and family-owned businesses. Every day is incredibly rewarding and impactful as we help our clients achieve their unique goals and objectives for their ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ transaction. From day one at CMG, you have the opportunity to interact with our clients and take a leading role in transaction execution.

Jon Michaels

Vice President

"Here at CMG, you are fully involved in all aspects of a deal, even as a junior banker. From direct conversations with the owners and executives of the companies we work with to having a voice in the decision points in a transaction, you are fully immersed and hands on. This much exposure means constant learning and building valuable skills for the rest of my career."
