Ross Colbert

Ross Colbert is a Managing Director at Carter Morse & Goodrich and has more than 35 years of experience advising privately-owned, middle market food and beverage companies in merger & acquisitions, divestitures and capital markets transactions. His transaction experience includes a wide range of clients across the food and beverage value chain including suppliers, processors, brand owners, distributors, and retailers. Mr. Colbert has led and consumated cross-border advisory transactions in North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia and Africa. Mr. Colbert is a recognized beverage industry thought leader and is a frequent guest speaker at industry events and in news media including CNBC, Bloomberg, the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and Financial Times.

Prior to joining Carter Morse & Goodrich, Mr. Colbert was a Managing Director at Capstone Partners and KPMG Corporate Finance for six years where he led their respective Beverage sector investment banking coverage. Mr. Colbert was a Managing Director at Rabobank Group from 2011 until 2019, and served as Global Sector Head – Beverages, Global Strategist – Beverages and Head of Food & Agri Research in the US.

He has served on the Board of Directors of Eldorado Spring Water Company, and as a General Partner of New Age Beverages (Pepsi bottler, South Africa), and of Trident Beverages (Pepsi bottler, Ukraine).

Mr. Colbert earned his BA from the University of Hawaii and his MBA from the University of New Haven. He maintains his FINRA Series 82, 79 and 63 securities licenses with CMG’s FINRA registered broker-dealer affiliate, Carter Capital Corporation.

Mr Colbert is married with three daughters and lives in Weston, CT. Outside the office he is an avid horseman and adventurer; and successfully finished the 2024 Mongol Derby, the world’s longest horse race, that stretches 1,000 km across Mongolia’s vast wilderness.
