The premier brand in the consumer portfolio was the legendary Aga stove; other brands included Elgin & Hall, manufacturers of luxury fireplace surrounds, and Britain's leading interior finishes retailer, Fired Earth.
AGA was seeking a way to further penetrate the U.S. market for its consumer household brands with a strategically important acquisition.
A principal of Carter Morse & Mathias acted as the exclusive financial advisor to AGA in its purchase of Domain Home Fashions. Founded in 1986 by Judy George, Domain designed, sourced and retailed exclusive European-inspired home furnishings for affluent East Coast consumers through 25 retail locations in the Northeast.
